Human Rights in Iran

This organization is working for the establishment and defense of civil rights and liberties in Iran.

The NEDA Foundation is a non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to raising international awareness of Iran’s human rights violations and providing succor for these victims. The Foundation was officially registered in 2009 The NEDA charity upholds the human right principles set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as the standard for human interactions regardless of socioeconomic and political origin. We believe that respect for human rights principles will help ensure the dignity to which every individual is entitled and will stem tyranny, extremism, intolerance, and violence. Reported human rights abuses include arbitrary arrest, torture and the liberal use of the death penalty. Recent violations reports from Iranian journalists suggest that abuse cases continue to be on the rise. Our object is to provide support for abuse victims and to protect civilians who are at risk, many of whom include human rights advocates, targeted for their public criticism of the government’s treatment of human rights violations or targeted for their defense of the rights of at-risk populations such as refugees, youth, and women.
